Progressive's "Airtail" air supported suspension system has Progressive's conventional steel spring in one shock and a unique double air chamber in the other. The double air chamber allows you to pump in the correct amount of air to compensate for the rider and any additonal passenger's weight. BUT, if the rider wants to lower their Softail, air can be added to the other chamber to get the disired height. the advantage of this setup is that even in the lowered position, the load carrying air chamber retains its pressure allowing bottoming resistance! AIRTAIL shocks come complete with the manual fill valve ready to install. The optioanl compressor kit (SOLD SEPERATELY) allows you to lower or raise the bike while riding, all with the turn of a switch! The optional compressor kit (PICTURED WITH THE SHOCKS) includes an air pump, electric switches, connectors, all air lines, and replacement coil cover bracket that houses the metering gauge and controll switches.
